muffler NOT centered??

I just installed new SS tips on my car. I had stock black ones on before, so didn't notice that there was a different gap on driver's side compared to passenger side.

Stock muffler, but I did get a guy to weld in an eCutout 2? years back on my intermediate pipe right before going over the axle.

It looks like I've got to move the muffler (and hence tail pipes) over towards the passenger side say 2"??

I looked at how the intermediate pipe is put in the muffler and it only looks like I could gain 3/4" by somehow pushing the intermediate into the muffler more.

Any ideas before I take it to a muffler shop and have them bend/break stuff?

Thx

Yeah, that's the way the stock muffler is made. If you change out the stock tips to straight chrome pipes without changing the muffler and pipes, it will look like the tips are off.

I guess I never noticed the difference in offset w/ the stock tips.. When I noticed the difference w/ the new tips I couble checked the stock ones to see if they were different (NO)..

Going to have to see if the shop can do something...

OR... what about a magnaflow muffler (the $80?? one)?? I assume that the pipes out of that are setup in such a fashion that the tips look symetrical out the back of the car..

Your thoughts?

I know one thing for sure... having access to a lift would be SWEET... I'm getting tired of ramps/jack stands etc... PITA in the heat..

It doesn't matter what muffler you put on there, you just need to have pipes that are centered. Just have a muffler shop fab you up some outlet pipes.
