Was Z28 ever in Yellow Exterior color?DarksideII 12-22-2002, 09:23 PM Was z-28 ever made in yellow from 93-on? If so, what years? Thanks! chesee48 12-22-2002, 10:12 PM not that i know of...ive seen yellow 93+ but only v6's...and even those might be custom...im not sure... yellow is a color that is cool (in my book-cuz it was my fav color growing up) but however it would be senseless cause not enough people would order them...waste of an option ya know? Marky82 12-22-2002, 10:25 PM I'm pretty sure that all yellow camaro's have been repainted like Brent's SS. But the Firebird did come in yellow in 2002 and it looks SWEET! DarksideII 12-23-2002, 12:59 AM Thanks! I found a real sweet looking z28 that is yellow, but I did not think they ever came yellow. I personally love love the color, reminds me of the 60's corvette yellows, but I won't buy a car that has had a color chenge. TonyJ 12-23-2002, 01:29 AM Yellow was definately available in '93. CARGASM 12-23-2002, 01:34 AM I want to agree that in '93 yellow was available for both Z's and birds. However, I think it was pulled very early due to quality, cure and bonding issues....I could be wrong. Adam jdhommert 12-23-2002, 03:12 AM Just saw a nice lookin Yellow 4th gen yesterday :) I have seen a lotta pics in a mag about the 93 Bird. Pretty badass looking too. Brent94Z 12-23-2002, 08:57 AM I got a yeller one :D http://www.extreme-z.com/96ss/yellowss.htm I know they made some very early (93?) Firebird Trans Ams and have again recently (2002?) but wasn't aware of any factory yellow Camaros. If they do exist, they must be even rarer than the yellow 93 Firebirds. robvas 12-23-2002, 09:05 AM *drool* My mom has a built 95 Mustang GT that's Chrome Yellow, pretty similar color. Yellow owns. :D Originally posted by Brent94Z I got a yeller one :D http://www.extreme-z.com/96ss/yellowss.htm I know they made some very early (93?) Adam really? interesting.........:alert: APS95Z28 12-27-2002, 08:55 PM Hey Brent, As I was drooling over the extremely LARGE pics of your car, I saw what looked to be a flaw in your paint. By all means I'm not putting your car down, but I just had to ask if what I'm seeing is really there or not. Its on one of the 3/4 shots of the front drivers side. Right in front of the front left tire, in the seam between the fender and the bumper cover. It looked like a large bubble with smears around it (for lack of better explanation). Is that really there or is it just me. If so, why didn't the body shop you had paint the car fix that. Like I said, I'm not trying to put your car down, but with such LARGE pics, it makes things easier to see. Otherwise its one of the baddest SS's I've seen. Andrew I just checked the other pics, and believe it or not, it isn't there. Sorry to be so quick to judge. Anyway the pic that its in is the bottom row of 4, the 2nd one from the left. Thats the only pic I saw it in. Maybe its just water bubble or something. Anyway, it still looks great!:) :) stik6shift98 12-27-2002, 09:01 PM ya i saw one that was yellow the other day.....it wanted a piece sounded good but it got shut down:D obiously he didnt know what he was messin with;) pimpinturk 12-27-2002, 11:56 PM i just bought a 95 yellow Z with black rims. it has some minor paint flaws, but it still looks sweet. TonyJ 12-28-2002, 12:38 AM Well, I did a little research and here it is... According to the f-body.org technical database at: http://www.f-body.org/tech/ In 1993 exterior colors available: Arctic White, Bright Red, Black, Bright Teal, Polo Green, Dark Gray-Green Metallic, Purple Pearl Metallic, Medium Patriot Red, Medium Quasar Blue, Yellow (Only 196 made, Pontiac only). In 1994, Yellow (Only 304 made, Pontiac only) dropped at midyear. So no factory yellow Camaros- only Firebirds, Formulas and TAs... My84Z 12-28-2002, 02:29 AM http://www.borgx.net/video/mofba/member/john93yellowta/93TA.wmv there were only a few yellow 93 t/a's made it says how many in this guys vid about his own yellow 93.. I don't know what that is but can tell you it isn't real!!! I have no idea why the picture looks like that but the paint is smooth and looks good in that area and there are no flaws there. As for the large pics... that's my other url. I was testing out the transfer speeds by uploading and downloading BIG pictures. That's why they are so large ;) Maybe one of these days I'll transfer all my stuff to the extreme-z.com url and wanted to make sure the server was up to the task :) JasonD 12-28-2002, 01:45 PM Just to confirm, there was never a yellow paint option on a 4th gen Camaro. If you see a yellow 4th gen Camaro, it was a custom job and did not come from the factory that way. | ||
