Update/comments on the Indy event.....

Passing along comments from John Fitzpatrick and Fbodfather regarding the Indy event...

The message here is yes, there will be media events prior. GM is acknowledging the enthusiast community with the Indy event. Indy will be the enthusiasts first opportunity to see the cars. GM is also ensuring many members of the design and engineering teams will be at Indy and available to talk all things 5th gen with us.


I thnk John will address this in more detail -- the first time that enthusiasts will be able to get up close and personal with the new Camaro will be Indy. This is where they can get their questions answered -- this is where they can talk with engineering and styling


Indy will be the only place all our friends will be able to get the up close and personal view and information on the 2010 Camaro. Indy will be the place to get the answers...

if i show up to this event (im only a few hours west of indy)...will i get stoned for being seen in a honda accord?...figured i better ask first before the stoning occurs..yes i will be there on the 19th and would appreciate time the "gates open"

So this is the FINAL production car, will they be releasing specification and price to the customers or will it just be another showing?

Will we be able to touch it and sit in it?

We'll get stoned together, as I will be in a Mazda B2300. :)

Or maybe on my Harley.

I will have to get my camaro painted if I am going to make the event. It's not looking too good right now.

I'll be at tthe Indy event and I'm quite interested in some get together time with folks from this site.
I'll be busy through some of the daytime hours, but I'm surely hoping we can arrange something I can make it to.
I'll be flying in for the event as driving up is just too convoluted. < Although one of the race teams I work with is in the Chicago area... and they have offered to do some suspension modding on my ride and offered some seat time in the spare SWC car at Autobahn.. but logistics are logistics...>

Any chance we will put something together?
