My 94 Z28 is stock but im about to put a Moroso CAI on it this week. Im wanting an exhaust next. Im thinking about a Flowmaster. Does anyone like this? I want my loud and to rumble when its idleing. If I add the flowmaster, is there something I can do to make it louder besides headers? Like maybe a SLP tip or Borla tips?

B+B triflow! Flowmaster = bad. If you want loud, get a SLP LM1.

There are tons of threads on Flowmaster, but the general consensus is it sounds good, but robs you of horsepower. If you want loud, tips aren't going to do it. It's all in the muffler. And it depends on how loud you want it, and what kind of sound you are looking for.

If you like loud and raspy, then Loudmouth is the way to go. Borla is by far the top pick for sound, but it's pricey. Try searching around for some exhaust clips and see what you like. Headers won't do much for loudness, but it will clean up some raspiness. I've posted a couple of Loudmouth sound clips in one of my threads, both before and after headers.

thanks for the replies....I love the SLP Loudmouth. I want one, but I just cant be paying $500 bucks for one. I dont mind paying the $389 for it, but then $100 bucks more for the installation kit whats sucks. Im just trying to make my car loud and add some HP but trying not to spend sooo much money on it.

If you know a muffler shop that can do it for cheap, you can just buy the LM1 bullet resonator and have the shop fab you up a catback. But if you want loud, Loudmouth is the cheapest. You could always look for a used one.

It may not make the most power, I still think the flowmaster sounds the best, and has since the first one I installed back in '91. :)

it's all a matter of opinion though. Go with what you prefer.
