don't think so the T56 is a 6 speed shifter and the T5 is a 5 speed.

I know I'm a brand new member, so I might not have much respect yet, but I work at a performance parts store, and I do know that the T-56 shifter won't fit yours... If you're talking about a B&M or Hurst short throw...It's only one number off on the part number, but unfortunately, Blue95 is right, and you can't interchange the 5-speed and 6-speeds... :(
