Need new brake pads

What kind should i get? I want some hawk pads but i remember reading here that there was a certain kind of hawk pad that gave off alot of dust and squeaked alot. i want a performance pad that will last and not squeak much or give off alot of dust.

From what I have read the Hawk HPS pads are a decent compromise. Really good performance and only a little dust.

I have the EBC Redstuff pads, excellent pads for heavier powerful cars and very little dust. They even have a coating on them that helps them bed in faster.
Regards,Mark.

I found the Hawk HPS to dust a lot and squeal a lot . Maybe that was just my experience??? They worked fine as a street pad, but that's about it.

I've been running ceramic street pads for the last ~year or so now, and love them compared to those dirty Hawks! The wheels stay clean, the brakes are quiet, and the pads have actually worked well enough to take onto a race track and run fairly competitively!

NOW, I also have a set of Hawk HT14's that I run on the racetrack, which work WAY better than the street ceramics, but they are a RACE pad, and they dust like CRAZY (and I'm sure they're not even recommended for street applications anyways?! ). But if you want to stop in a big, big hurry!!! ................. (however, with a street tire, they'll just lock-up the tires instantly, hence why they're recommended for RACING only, along with R-compound tires)

i have hawk hp pluses and they squeak and let off tons of dust. They sure stop though. I had hps and decided to move up, cant say it was a good move. They give yor the stopping power but are more for the track because of noise and dust.
