Well, here I am after many hours of talking to other focus group members and people who are up to their elbows in the Camaro project from the other side of the planet. Great dinner, great drinks, great stories. By the end of the night, the casual conversation turned from bench racing and tales of previous cars long sold to the car at hand, the 2010 Camaro. We all wore ourselves out, and we will have to pick it up again tomorrow...
...but until then...
Unless you have intimate knowledge of what it takes to build a car that has this much attention on it, you simply cannot fathom what is going on right now. There is a bigger spotlight on this car that what most would believe, much less comprehend.
The beauty of it is that with all that is going on, no one seems to have a "bad day" at work when they are on this project. You can count on everyone involved with the project to be happy about what they are working toward. To them, it is not just a job. They want to see this succeed, and it shows in their attitude and in turn, I believe that it will come out in the product.
Tomorrow, we will once again go back to Black Lake. That is when it will get even more serious.
