no pricing has been said and wont be for quite some time. its usually the last thing we learn about the car before they go on sale

Some have said that wherever the Mustang is, the Camaro will be.
But then Lutz recently said it will be a premium car.
So I think the consensus on this board is: "a little bit more than a comparably optioned Mustang".

As you dad has a dealership, you should be able to buy your Camaro right.
Congrats on the sweet deal!

I'd guess in the first year production prices will be starting at $26k for the V6 cars and over $30 for the V8 power. No discounts obviously.

Mustangs start at about $20,000, so if they start the Camaro at
$26,000, put a fork in the Camaro it will be dead or at least the future of the car will be in question. 6 grand
difference in starting price is huge!!

I think it'll be a couple of 100 more than the mustang...the redesigned mustang which'll probably be another grand more than the current trims.

I just don't think GM can provide that much awesome under 20,000 grand. I'll be expecting at least 21,000-22,000 as a base starter price.

Honestly, if you can't afford the 2g difference, you can't afford the gas and need to get yourself a hybrid. Or a bike (the kind without an engine). :p

Which is one of the reason I won't be getting a year 1 camaro. That and the fact that history repeats itself. Lets take a lesson from the GTOs.

yeah im lucky as well, i will be receiving mine at 10 % over dealer invoice. And i work at a ford dealership right now, i can walk over and buy an 08 stang gt for $25k, so if the v6 camaro starts at $26k, as someone said earlier, insert fork, the camaros done.

I'm thinking anywhere from $1000 to $1500 difference between Camaro and a comparable Mustang. Reasons? 1: IRS, 2: Better interior/quality, and 3: Better equipped from the start.

id say the difference would be 1000 tops over the comparable mustang. but more likely a couple hundred dollars

RE #3: I think that an honest comparison would require that you add the price of the appropriate options to the base Mustang to match the base Camaro before you compare the prices.

I also think it could be a mistake to make the base Camaro’s standard equipment too much nicer than the base Mustang’s and create too much of a gulf between starting MSRPs.

$500-$1000 over a similarly equipped Mustang.

I went to the Ford website and built a Mustang the way I would build my Camaro. That should give you a pretty close estimate.

Thats what I'm thinking, but if its a bit more I dont think that will be to bad.
