200 will get u a decent headunit, nothing more. 400 will get u the headunit and 4 speakers. 800 will get you headunit, 4 speakers, bass amp and sub. all this being middle line stuff.

how do you liek to listen to your music, do u like a little extra bass? I would first start with a nice set of speakers. in my truck i have the polk db series and they are pretty good. This week circuit city, i work there, has polk speakers buy one set get one set 50% off, so you could get 2 sets of 6.5 inch speakers for 150 plus tax and any warranty u might add. That would be a good start. If you want some bass to fill in the lows, get the speakers then save up to get a decent 10 inch woofer and matching amp. You could get a decent lowline kicker comp 10 and a kicker 200.2 for like 225-250 ish

I dont listen to rap much, Only when my friends are in the car I can listen to it...But I mostly listen to Heavy metal stuff...Music like Korn would be ridiculous with a System. I dont want too much bass, just enough for that Heavy stuff. Maybe one 10 inch sub, and 2 6 inch speakers...I can make the box. but I dont know anything about this, or amps, or what hooks up to what. I'm a total noob.

And where will this fit in my Camaro, etc...Small trunk and stuff.

First and foremost make sure you do not have a bose system in the vehicle. Those can be touchy to integrate into (though it can be done with a little know how and time)

I'm into the heavy music (no rap) and I run infinity 6.5's all around and an older pioneer 6800 head unit. couldn't be happier.

If you want a "little" bass. go to www.subthump.com and order up a stealth enclosure. for our cars, their boxes are the best for the price.

As far as a subwoofer goes, look into a nice singel voice coil sub and a strong 2 channel amp. Rule of thumb is you only look at RMS wattage and do the best to pair and amp/sub. typically you want the amp to be a little stronger than that RMS power handling of the sub.

With the bose system if your car you can change the speakers and add a sub to the factory H.U.

However, if you want to change out the radio you may have to use some integration parts so that it will power up the bose. Typically I rewire the whole audio system of these cars when they come to me. It provides for a better quality finished product.

What if I took out all the speakers and put different ones, different HU and A sub?

exactly. you need to run speaker wire from the back of the new head unit (HU) through the door jamb and into the door where it can be connected to the speaker. it's a pain in the butt but it can be done. Honestly, if you're going to be doing all this install work anyway, might as well do it all in one shot.

you COULD run a Line Out Converter.. basically it breaks down the high level signal to a low level signal so your amp can pick it up (through RCA's)

it wires into your rear speakers.

IMO it won't sound so good.

My budget is around 200 bucks.

Best/Cheapest = Oil/Water = Fastest/Slow car, they just don't mix! Not for $200, IMO save up until you have at least $400 or more. you'll be happier in the long run.

FYI, hast makes waste.....lol

yea. a good audio set-up can range anywhere from.... eh... we'll say....
Head Unit:100-300 for a decent to good cd/mp3 player headunit. since your a noob(mp3 cd players allow you to use mp3 or data cds in the cd tray along with regular cds that you would buy from stores and what not. mp3 cds can handle more songs, but like stated, can only be played in mp3/data capable head units/players.
Door Speakers: because its a 93... it only has spots for 4 speakers and no tweeters. one in each door... and one on each sail panel. all are 6.5". good speakers range from 60 a pair... to 150 a pair... i have alpine type r 6.5" all around in my 94... also has 4 speakers... and they sounded amazing alone... with a headunit to adjust bass and treble levels it runs perfect for what you listen to... the type r's have very good bass output for such small speakers. they cost me $83 a pair... which is amazing prce for the quality... definitely my number one preferred speakers.
Wires/Install Tools: Go to walmart... pepboys... or anywhere that has car audio parts and get some new wire... prolly about 50ft for all the speakers if your just doing speakers. 50ft will be plenty... wiring harnesses for new headunits are like 6 bucks i think. and some terminals for doign the wiring are like 3 bucks for a pack. its pretty simple one you get used to doing it.
as for subs and amps... it all depends.i thnk if you start off with the type r's or a similar speaker all around... youll be happy regardless... even if you decide to get subs and an amp later on... they will still keep up their performance. if you got any questions about install... or places to find speakers cheap.. pm me. audio has become my specialty... lol.
