New NE Indiana member

I just wanted to say hi and that I the new guy. My name is Dan i'm 21, and I live in Garrett just north of Fort Wayne. I have 93 z28 with a few bolt ons. Like Cai, headers, cat back and a couple other little things.

Welcome. There are several of us here from the Fort Wayne area. Luke (Teal94z) and Josh (Pnyhntr) post on this site quite a lot, and they have some fast cars.

you have a quick car too Brandon, you could take the Cobra by the way...;)

Sadly, it was not a 03...more like a 98 (the pooch year LOL). Now that i figued out overdrive is bad when going from a roll, i think ill do better next time. Although i do recall skinning that snake off the line....

It can actually be pretty busy and full on a decent weekend. Usually 3-4+ 4th gens, a couple third gens, and quite a few Mustangs. Towards the end of the summer there seemed to be more F-bods out there than the Mustangs!! POS's were all broke! There is also the occasional GN or TTA, and also the usual 60's-70's musclecars. Every once and a while a pack will head out of town to do you know what. You guys from the South Bend area ought to come down and check it out sometime! It's usually a lot of fun.

Dont forget all the ricers that park across the street..hehe, there are a lot of them. Right now there isnt as many people out, of course because winter, but when the weather breaks in a few months, it will be play time again ;) Brandon, FYI his Cobra bone stock was running 14.1 average at about 100 mph, he had one run when he hooked up at 13.98 @ 101. I think at the track you could take him. However, next time you see him, he will have 4:10's, cold air, and possibly 8 lbs of intercooled vortech boost ;) hehe. He isnt sure yet what he wants to do. I raced him when I had just exhaust and cold air, and from a roll with my clutch slipping, I took him by 2 cars. Anyway, see you guys later

as for the you know what , are there many fast cars that go out? and does it happen every weekend? just wondering how good the action is. the cops have really been raining on our parade here the last year or two, and only looking worse for this year

There arent alot of fast cars...just mine, luke's, and josh's...haha. Nah there is some good competition around. Alot of ricers though...most of em dont have anything to go, just alot of show. Ive just got an appearence modded *cough cough* Z...heh...gotta love the show look when peeps think the performance is stock.

Actually, yeah there are some fast cars (like 10's), but they are Mustangs. You would have the fastest F-body there if you come down!! I am looking at running high 11's next year, so I am a little faster than the average car there. It is a good time though, and yes, they go out once or twice every night and do the you know what.

doesnt matter to me what kind of cars they are, as long as there is something for me to match up with. heck, maybe ill bring the firebird once, and switch sides and bring the mustang the next;).

think theres anything that shows up out there that is in the 9s?

hehe-keep 'em guessing with the two different cars!! No, I don't think there is anything out there in the 9's. You never know what might show up next year though!!

thanks for the info guys. ill probably make a trip out there sometime this spring in the Mustang and see whats up. if there is something serious enough, ill bring the Firebird out the next time.

we have alot of SERIOUSLY fast street cars in the area around here, including several guys who drive deep 9 second cars out to the hangouts. just no places to have fun anymore like we used to. alot of the guys were starting to make trips up to Battle Creek, MI, but all the sudden the cops starting breaking things up up there (the cops always knew about it there, but did nothing before). two summers ago a couple guys from here trailered mid 10 second cars out to Ft Wayne on a Saturday night, but i forgot what they said about how it was.

Yeah, the cops know it goes on in Ft. Wayne, and they have cought us a couple times, but nobody has gotten in any trouble... yet. We keep them guessing, though, as there is about 4 or 5 different places that we go to, and we hardly go to the same one twice in a row. Let me know beforehand if you decide to come down-I'll make sure everybody is out that weekend.

Overdrive is killer, man. I was neck and neck with a turbo integra up to 120, then I figured out I was in OD, kicked it down to D for the next race, and walked him like nobody's business.

Whose the guy in fort wayne with a red lt1 Z with Y2K vette rims on it? I revved at you yesterday :)

If the Y2K rims were chrome, it was probably Joe. He has a 96Z with a ATI Procharger on it (8 psi). That is the only red Z in town I know of with Y2K's.

Wrong RedZ Jeff, I know which one your talking about. It has silver Z emblems. I met him once it's basically stock a couple boltons. He drives it year round. Joe doesn't have Y2K's......

Yeah, black thats the one im talkin about. He raced me one time...handed me my ass pretty bad. Granted i was in my 3.4 V6 at the time lol. So youre shocker??? I asked about you a couple of months ago. I saw you in town awhile ago. We all need to get together sometime.

I'm from marion IN. Even though I only have V6, it still is a camaro! Do you guys ever meet up or anything? Good to hear that so many ppl live so close! My parents are moving there in a year or so also... But It'd be cool to hang out with a bunch of you guys sometime, I always wanted to ride in a nice V8 :bow: Can't wait til my 6 dies and I can swap in an 8!
