Has anyone converted their 93-97 Camaro to the push out cup holders in a 98+? I hate my cup holder as I drive a stick and putting the cup holder right behind the shifter was idiotic...I've seen the later models with a pushout on the passengers side that swings out. Is that one piece attached where the cd/cassette holder is? And will that fit in my 96? Holder my coffee mug and shifting and steering is starting to get on my nerves....

That cup holder is part of the center console. It fits under the center of the dash where your radio/hvac controls are. It swings out.

I am not sure if it'll fit with the 93-96 dash. I've only seen it in older cars that have the 97+ conversion done.

 

Here's my 97 dash, I just realized the earlier years didn't have the swing out cupholders. notice the big @$$ crack in the dash,

 

Thanks for the info and pics guys. That's a nasty crack in the dash!! I wonder if I can find a 97 center console at a swap meet or junk yard and see if it would fit??
