I'm thinking about getting some Sportlines and I want to know what kind of shocks to combine with the springs. the car has 78,000 miles on it and it's all stock as far as i know. I know it may ride like crap but i'm going for looks not comfort. Should i get some strano custom valved bilstein's? I'm wanting to do it right but at the same time on a budget. any help?

 

Budget? KYB AGX's I think.

Real budget?? Cut your stock springs shorter. It'll probably ride just as good, and won't cost you anything (if you're just going for looks anyway).

talk to strano. Or at least get his springs instead of sportlines. The re valves would be my advice. Tokico and kyb would be cheaper options but you may regret those later. (buddy has kyb, bad idea)

 

If you need new shocks just get some stock replacements, otherwise I would not bother rerplacing them. Since you will basicaly be riding on the bump stops And also it "will" ride like crap. But, it will look cool!
IMO If you want to do your suspension right, get some lowering springs that still leave your car with some suspension travel. Or save up and get a air ride suspension. You will be happier in the long run.

 

i've rode in a camaro w/sportlines and it wasn't bad at all. Strano's springs aren't low enough for what i'm going for. I don't drive it much and the roads here in Phoenix are good so not like i'll be driving on rough pavement. The re-valves are roughly $500 if i remember right. just wanted some opinions.
