front has 18"/8.5 front c6 wheels. With 245/40 bfg g-force kdw n/t tires.
back has 18"/9.5 c6 wheels. With 275/35 bfg g-force kdw n/t tires.
Both are not the best pics. But just thought id share the big improvement. I could'nt stand looking at the wheels i had on there and since my tires where bald and had to be replaced i went ahead and rid of the wheels.
So what should be next? I already no that my one ground effect peice doesnt seem to flow well with the car so i do plan on getting the wings west kit. I know some people like theground effects and some dont, i happen to like them so im going to be getting that kit soon.
Jon94Z 04-29-2008, 10:01 PM Looks good, huge improvement!
MARKTHOMASBRAND 04-30-2008, 10:08 AM That's a much tougher look,10 times better than before .
shock6906 04-30-2008, 11:16 AM That looks a lot nicer with the new wheels on there. As far as the ground effects, just get a Wings West front lip. No need to replace the other three pieces. I actually like the three pieces that are on there because they're very uncommon.
Garcia95 04-30-2008, 04:32 PM it looks better
Blown350ZZ4 04-30-2008, 04:35 PM Thank you for getting rid of those wheels. Woof!
PWR-TRIP 04-30-2008, 06:06 PM Looks good bro.
FiefSS 04-30-2008, 07:20 PM Looks.. 100x's better! Time for some bigger brakes, and get a front ground effect. I actually like the side pieces and it will look killer all complete. Good work on the ride!
RCMcamaro 04-30-2008, 08:21 PM Thanks for the complaiments. I dont know why i waited so long before getting new wheels. Yeah, the wheels are really open so some bigger brakes would look better. I painted the calipers before getting the new wheels, im glad i remembered to do that before getting the wheels on. Tires also make a big difference, i would be sliding if i took a turn at 25mph just about. These bfg tires are a big improvement.
I'll probley just keep the ground effects i have and get the front one like you guys say. I actually like my ground effects but i just wasent sure if i should just buy a whole new kit. My next thing is a cd player now. Im sick of connecting my ipod through the tape player cord i got so im gonna get a cd player that plays mp3's. I would like to get some performance items on the car but i already got done doing a big job of replaceing some front seals that were causing my car to leak oil. So now im just going to enjoy the car for the summer and then when its in the garage over winter i'll just buy a heater and work on getting some things then. I dont plan on raceing the car or beating on it so really theres no need for performance stuff, but i enjoy working on the car (sometimes).
Cheap Guy 04-30-2008, 11:05 PM The new wheels look great. I want the same set for my silver LT1, but in 17" size but looks like it's not going to happen this year, ironically because I spent some of my "annual" car budget getting a front timing cover oil leak fixed, so like you, I'm just going to spend the summer driving it and hopefully wearing the tires out.
One thing you may want to consider is clear corners. They're cheap and they really set silver cars off. As far as the GFX's, they look cool and I'd just leave them as is.
As far as performance, at least consider a CAI (or go for the free airbox mod - cutting big holes in the stock airbox and get a K&N filter). Again, they're not too expensive and really help a stock LT1. Same for a catback if it doesn't have one or at least get a $100 magnaflow muffler.
Again, nice car.

Yeah i did'nt mention it but i have the k&n air filter on it. Also the car has borla exhaust. It sounds really good. Only problem is the exhaust is dirty and so the tips that stick out dont look the best. I would like to maybe just replace those or get them polished so they look good. I would like to just get the whole exhaust replaced but its not bad besides being a little dirty so i dont have the money for that and its probley not the easiest job replaceing it. I'll probley just buy some tips because those are only thing noticeable..

heres a pic of one of my old tires

Its not even the worst one, on two of them you could see the lineing because the rubber was all gone in some spots.
I'll proble do the clear corners like you mention. Cheap enough. Thats what im looking for right now is just some cheap ideas on some things for my car. I planned on getting a cd player soon but now that i went to get a wheel alignment and found out its gonna be $250 to replace some loose tie-rods im kind of bummed.
As for the wheels i was stuck on wether or not to get the 17's or 18's. I ended up choosing the 18's and im glad it did they look like they were meant for the car i would'nt go any bigger or any smaller. I have a perfomance chip i got when i bought my car and it will program the car to what size tires are on it so that my speedometer reads correctly.
4THGEN Z 05-01-2008, 04:14 PM get some Wenol metal polish for the Borla tips and they'll look like new, thats what I did and they came out awesome. =)
tbirdsc357 05-02-2008, 07:36 PM Much better than before.
bluz28 05-02-2008, 09:55 PM Looks really nice now! The first thing you need to do now is to bring it down out of the clouds......lol
Cheap Guy 05-02-2008, 11:04 PM New tips are relatively cheap - you can even check on some of the Corvette forums and get stock Corvette tips pretty cheap. If you like Corsa clones, they're pretty cheap, and I got a pair of Magnaflow duals for $80.
No money for wheels this year so I've spent a few hours on the engine bay. You can get a few dress up parts like TB covers, elbow and oil cap pretty cheap and with a little work with steel wool and polish, Simple Green and rags and Armor All, you can get the bay look pretty nice. Plus like I said, it's c-h-e-a-p.

Again, nice car!
CAMARO16 05-04-2008, 12:02 AM Looks good 'cheap Guy'. Looks like a brand new motor, and with the chrome dress up parts it definetly makes it appealing. I may just have to go ahead and do that on my camaro. Since its something cheap to do and after seeing the picture of yours :bow:.
I recently changed some front seals on my car and since everything was pulled out of my car i went ahead and cleaned everything up. I did'nt spend a whole lot of time cleaning but i got everything looking good. So really all i would need to do is now polish everything up. Theres also a few hoses i would'nt mind replaceing. Then i'll just get some of those dress up parts like you got.
How many miles are on your car cheap guy?

Thanks for the comps. The car only has 67k miles on it, but low miles is not always a good thing. I think the car sat for about two years and that's the reason why I've had to do a lot of work on it, especially seals and gaskets, which tend to dry out. Got the front oil leak fixed but now I think my rear main is dripping. Oh well.
