Stereo Bulbs Blown

I've got the factory Monsoon system in my car and about 5 months ago, #1 and #6 on the radio blew out, and now the entire radio is out.

Can you pull off the plastic piece on top of the A/C vents to take the radio out? Or do I need a new head unit?

on a 99 the bezel should just pull off. there's a few clips holding it in and a few 7 mm's holding the actual radio in.

Do you know how many bulbs are back there and if they're easy to replace?

Led will last much longer than a bulb, so as long as you're going in there...

can't say i've ever replaced those bulbs.
