Running rich?

I sent my PCM to PCMforless.com to correct my speedo for 3.73 gears and to do their normal ignition and feul curve tricks to the PCM.

Im worried that it is running very rich now. The car is running strong and hard, faster than every, but my exhaust tips are very carboned up and black and it sucks the gas now also. But my biggest problem is that the oil pressure has dropped and I am affraid it is because unburnt feul is getting into my oil and causing my bearings to wear out.

Is their tune just dumping feul into the engine? Or is this just because they have the fans setup to turn on at 160 degree coolant temp and this low engine temp causes feul to not burn completely? Ive checked all other components that could be causing this problem and I'm almost positive that the tune setup is the issue. I do not have access top a scan tool of any sort to check feul trim or any other feul related level/measurement.

Where can you buy those?

The typical "tune" for a fairly stock setup is limited to leaning out the PE mode (~WOT) target A/F ratio. They don't just tune it to "dump fuel".

Sounds like you have something causing the A/F ratio to be elevated in closed loop (part throttle/part load) driving. A tune does not change the 14.7:1 A/F ratio for this type of driving. Could be things like excessive misfires, exhaust leaks before the O2 sensors, faulty O2 snesor, etc.

Data logging software may show you the problem. AutoTap is one of the systems available for the OBD-II cars, but there are otheres.

Where is a good place to buy a decent quality air/feul ratio meter for a reasonable price, it seems like all of the digital readout guages are $300+.

Or you could rent some dyno time. That would also help your tuner.
