How the car running?

His car was also in the calendar right?

Hey Alvin, it's good to hear from you. My cars at Bob's getting some minor work done so it will be ready for spring, how's yours running?

Not to shabby at all,

12.53 about a month ago with some wore out BFG's managed a mear 1.80 short time. The sun was down at Fayetteville motorsports park and the track was real cold.

Just aquired a new set of BFG's and might head back out there this sunday. I believe the car has a good 30 or 40 in it

The car is making extremely good power, trapping around 109 and getting near stock mileage!

Wow, that's impressive alvin. Maybe once I get my car back together we can get to a track and you and bryan can work some of your magic on mine.

Thought so, but don't think i ever saw his car with welds. Figured there cant be that many F1 camaros around with a cowl hood.

Cool you are working with Bryan. Seems like about a year ago that we were emailing about me making a hotcam chip for you, now you have stepped it up. There are not many of us 93 guys still using stock ECM's. 12.5@109 man i need to learn to launch 12.67@113.8

Must have been a different Alvin, The only other programming I bought was from a company that quickly went out of buisness. Who do you work for?

I bought a chip from mustgofaster along long time ago when he first came out. That thing got like 8 mpg and had some cold morning start quirks.

The car also sounded like it was shooting for ducks going down the track.

Two weeks after I got into this stuff I had picked the car up from a 13.27 to a 12.99 stock head/convertor. Mileage has also picked up quite a bit. I usually average 13-22 depending on where and how I drive. When I worked at Reed-Lallier it was so close that the car would never warmeven to the first dash in the gauge, consequently no MPG now driving back and forth from Charolette i get around 23mpg.

Me and Brian have had some great success, we are really enjoying this.. Its quite honestly a blast.


Kudos to Dean Taylor, Scott Abrino (sp??), and Tracy Ploof all pcmforless.com who have made it in GMHTP this and last issue


Did I hear Mr. Dalton is going to take off his DFI off and get a Chip by Chipmunk? (pcmforless) :D

Could easily have been 2-2.5 years ago before mustgofaster was really up and running & i never sold you anything. I just burn them for myself & a couple of friends. No biggie just a few emails about an Ed Wright based chip. Could be mistaken but there can't be that many 93's from fayetteville on this board.

That is suprising to hear about Bob, always thought the quick tuneability was a killer advantage with the DFI for brackets.

also, Bob isnt using a DFI (if it was Accel you were referring too)... Speedpro Enginemanagment....

actually i've must have done around 6-10 93's from fayetteville alone. You would be surpised,

Waiting to hear from Bob, he got a part number from me this past week..... for some goodies too try out in his Car.....

Have you any idea how hard it was to Coax him into NGK TR-6's.....LOL

Where is PCMforLess located? I want a re-program for my 1995 Trans Am but have not had the chance to get my stuff together to get it done. I am going with PCMforLess. If I could go to F-ville and pick it up, I may do that.

Hi Scott,
I just got my GMHTP in the mail before XMAS and your article was great. Thanks for mentioning us in the article and I haven't forgotten about that file I am working on for you to try to balance your fuel trims even better at idle and light throttle. I have been doing some more testing on my 396 in my 94 Impala as it is showing some of the same characteristics. I know this is common for a large cam, but I want to get it the best I can. If it would just quit snowing up here long enough for me to get some more miles on the car :)
Also, for the gentleman who asked...
94 - 03 LT1 and LS1 cars are done by me in Pennsylvania and the
93 and older chip cars are done by Alvin in NC.
It's a team effort put together and we are pleased with the excellent results we have had in the past year working together, and would like to thank all our customers and wish you all a Happy New Year, and may all your 1/4 mile times be quicker in this new year :)
