c5's from LW&T

I am looking to buy a set of staggered chrome c5 wheels from LW&T for my 96 z28. Here are the specs:

17x8.5 in. 18x9.5 in 5x4.75 in 58mm/65mm


I am looking at tires: 275/40 18's for rear and 245/45 17's for the front

-Will these wheels and tires fit without spacers or hammering the wheel well?
-How will it ride/hook up with wheels being staggered?
-What tires do I go with?
sumitomo htrzII or fuzions?

The will "fit"..... but:

- May have to grind the inside of the hub hole in the wheels to fit over the 96 rear axle hubs.

- They will sit deep in the wheel wells, but shouldn't hit anything. Biggest risk is in the back, where the backspace is about 7.75", but with a 275 on it, it probably won't rub on the inner fender liner.

-275/40-18 is about 1" larger diameter than the stock tire, if your car had the optional 245/50-16's from the factory.

Have no idea how they will handle. As for which tires, depends what your most important criteria are - dry traction, wet traction, tread life, noise, cornering, price, etc. Go to Tire Rack, search on the size, and then look up the comparison table that rates each tire for those criteria based on owner feedback. Pick the one that most closely meets your priorities.
