i want to get a supersucker or a fast toys intake, im assuming i can still get an slp lid and use my k&n filter on top of that. (correct me anywhere im wrong) is it a good idea to get a aftermarket MAF sensor like SLP or others? or can this cause trouble with the car? as in more trouble than its worth ive just always heard to not mess with aftermarket on stuff like that at keep the genuine GM stuff. opinions?

On most applications, there is very little power to be gained, and lots of problems going to a different MAF. Keep the stock MAF.

It's not worth the extra money, i have an SLP MAF and there's no power gain at all, keep the stock one.

Upgrade to an LS6 intake, and keep the factory MAF.

That's the ONLY way to gain power on that setup. All of the others are too high flowing for a stock motor.

And drop the Flowmaster. =p

If you can't afford the FAST, the LS6 intake manifold is a good economical substitute. Those are the only ones I would consider.

FAST intake for a bigger inch engine or a healthy heads/cam 346. LS6 for everything else. Forget about any other intake on the market, especially the aluminum intakes - they flow worse and make less power than the LS6.
