Which H20 pump, CSR or Meziere?

Which pump do you prefer for higher HP boosted applications? I read somewhere that the Meziere flows a little more than the CSR, but the CSR is less expensive. Thanks!

Not boosted right now but I have an old CSI(CSR) on its 6-7th year.

I can pull the trigger out of the hole and make a full pass. By the time I get back to the pits she is at 180*.

On the street it never gets over 180* even in hot weather.

Here are a few things to consider with this info.

Block is rocked to the plugs

BeCool Radiator

250RWhp shot out of the hole...yes all at once.

180* by the time I get to the pits :D

I went through 2 stock pumps in five years when I first bought my car in 96. I've had the current Meziere HD Pump in since 2002 with no problems. I put alot of miles on my car since it is a daily driver. My supercharged car gets hot when it is over 90 degrees outside and I idle for longer than 10 minutes with the AC on. If I turn the AC off it will go back to normal temperatures. Never tried the CSI but any electric is a big improvement over the stock pump.:)

Is there any major issues with running the Meziere HD over the standard as far as install.

The CSR doesnt flow as well, but it's also smaller, more room, no clearance problems with the stock fans if you still have them. I have the CSR

You have to trim your fan shroud a little. You also have to install a freeze plug in the back of the waterpump housing. I went with a cloyes true roller for better valve timing and price at the same time. I also plugged the timing cover hole with a freeze plug and some JB weld.

I have not had to replace the Meziere yet but it will be a breeze to replace if it ever goes bad. It just pulls right out of the front of the waterpump housing.

When you install the Meziere make sure you buy a painless wiring harness and solder and shrink wrap all the wires to protect them from the weather.:)

So is the Meziere HD the better choice over the standard Meziere. I am looking to make 600+/- RWHP and keep the car on the street more than the track. So cooling is a must. Which is the better choice for mostly street use?

i love my csr, just make sure the hex bolts are tight, one of mine backed out and the pump stopped flowing

It doesn't matter which one you use. They are all good. The wiring you install is more important than who makes the pump. I know Jegs and Summit both sell electric pumps. Like I said I have had good luck with the Meziere HD but it is kind of pricey.:)
