Here are the specs
# 10" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils
# Kevlar reinforced pulp cone with Santoprene™ rubber surround
# cast aluminum frame with perimeter venting
# frequency response: 26-600 Hz
# power handling: 200-500 watts RMS (250 watts per coil)
# peak power: 1,500 watts
# sensitivity: 83 dB
I think ill just run 2 with a Infinity 1600a

Yeah, the 1600a would be a better choice for 1 type-R. From everything ive heard about the Type-R's, they can handle alot of power. I have 400watts going to my 10" right now and it sounds good, but id like to step up to 600watts going to it.
I have the Alpine MRP-M450 right now with the voice coils on the Type-R wired for a 2-ohm load at the amp.

But plan on picking up a Alpine PDX-1.600 sometime in the future for 600watts going to the sub.
