I want to get SLP loudmouths for my 93 Z28...But I did alot of reading and I have to get another part for the exhaust so It can be installed?

http://www.lmperformance.com/5598/2.html ( theres the exhaust )

http://www.lmperformance.com/1576/2.html ( and heres the installation kit for 93-95 LT1s?)

I have to get both of these to have the exhaust put on?

Then I noticed that there isnt a muffler, So I have to keep my stock muffler to have the Duel output?

There is no muffler with the LM1 setup, That bulged pipe is the resonator, which gives the LM its loud, raspy sound. It's just a straight through shot.

You need the installation kit that you linked, because the 93-95 catback ends further towards the front of the car compared to 96+ cars. Plus it changes your hangers to the 98+ style, which you will need for the LM1.

ok, so theres no mufflers at all? that resonator pipe is at the end where the Duel output is? Near the backend of the car?

The y-pipes on the 93-95 cars were a single cat and the 96-97 a dual cat setup which changed their overall dimension. The 93-95 cars need an s-shaped piece of piping to connect the i-pipe portion of the catback to the y-pipe. Not a big deal.

yes, no mufflers

IMO very loud and annoying

Thanks, I hope putting this exhaust on will be easy...It'll be the first exhaust I've ever done. Will I have to weld and stuff? and cut the pipes to fit?

When making the catback to y-pipe connection, it will most likely need to be welded.

i used a stainless steel band clamp, in case it needs to be removed

I was guessing the loudmouth will be 3" piping, the stock y-pipe is smaller, thats where I figured welding would come into play. Although I may be wrong, I could have sworn they made band clamps that could attach different sized piping?

The LM is all 3" piping, except for a short adapter that goes from the stock i-pipe size to the 3" LM size. All bolt on, no welding required (although you might want to to minimize leaks).

Thanks guys! I hope this project will be easy! I'll post a pic story when I get the exhaust and the installation kit.

Can I just take the Stock muffler off and replace it with the SLP LM1 shotgun resonator?
Instead of getting the whole catback?
