16 or 17 inch...unsprung weight?

im running the wheels in my sig. Has anyone gone back to 16's for the unsprung weight benefit? (not 245's of course)

Back when I had 16s on my car and it stock with just a CIA, I noticed the car fell a tad quicker then when I switched to 17s. I thought it was in my head but noticed my track times decreased 1 MPH from 101.XX to 100.xx.

Years later my friend went from 17s back to 16s an noticed that his car felt faster too. (he was running CIA, shorty headers, cam, slightly ported heads) and had a mid 12 second car. He said he preferred the 16s.

I left the 17s on mine cuz I love the look/stance.

Problem with the 16's is finding decent tires wider than 255/50-16.
