whats this on my wheel, pic

I have this black "chip" on my wheel, and it looks like the area around it is a different color, looks a little like corrosion. It is wierd because all 4 of my wheels have this in the same areas, on the lip of the wheel. The pic is of the worst one.

Anyone know what's happening to my wheel?? It's a factory 20" on a 2006 F150 FX4. I tried buffing it out, no good doesn't work.

I think I know exactly what it is..... Looks and sounds like the wheels had weights on the outisde on the lip once upon a time, then removed. Did you buy them or the car used?

I'm the original owner, there are weights on the lips but they never got moved. Someone told me that the clear coat is bad, I wonder if it's covered under the ford bumper-bumper warranty? I guess I'll have to go ot the dealer and find out. I'm off Friday I'll drive down and say look at this crappy Ford quality, shoulda bought a chevy :)

If not I'll just wait till it gets worse, than have the wheels refinished and cleared.
