Just wondering what the part number for header gaskets is? I am disconnecting my headers from my heads and wanted to put some good gaskets back in. I was just wondering if anyone has a part number for some good gaskets? Thanks

i would use the factory gasket from the dealer, when i bought mine all the research i did showed that to be the best option and so far i have not had an issue with them

I used the Felpro 1406s without any problems. It looks like people are also using the Felpro 1470s as well.

Are the felpros copper and what are the approximate costs for them. So will either of those two felpros bolt right in without any altering of the gasket?

They are not copper, they run about twenty bucks for the pair. They will bolt right in.

I looked up the Felpro 1470 and 1406 and the 1406's port dimensions were bigger than the 1470's. Does that matter? I noticed the 1470's were almost double in price over the 1406's. So, for the price are the 1406's the best gasket for the money or should I not go the cheaper route since cheaper is not always better. Thanks for any insight

I have 1470's - checked them against the head and headers and
they match just right. I have no experience with the 1406's.

Yes, stock heads. I did these headers a few years ago, the 1406s was what everyone was using.

I went with the Mr. Gasket Ultra-seal for 19.95 through summit, the FP 1470s were 35.00, i've used the Ultra-seals in the past with good results, just hope they fair good on the LT-1, we shall see.
