Turbo and FMU

Anyone think it will get me by?

FMU's appear to be less than ideal compared to other fuel control methods for forced induction...

I'm running one right now on my A-trim motor making 446rwhp and will be converting over to a turbo setup with low boost setting (9psi).

Does anyone think I'll be ok monitoring a wideband with an FMU just to get the car driving and into some boost? It should dump in fuel when manifold pressure comes up and run rich worst case??

Probably not the 'right' thing to do but let me know if there are concerns that I might not get enough fuel.

Don't see why it wouldn't work. Is it the best way prob not but should work same as sc car. I would a bleeder on the fmu and a dyno tune.

Your going to be making alot more power with a turbo than the supercharger. The FMU sees boost the same way as it did with the blower.

Your right in saying it's not a good way to fuel a boosted vehicle. I won't touch a car with one on it for tuning. Scares the $#%# out of me.

LT1 Edit could tune your ECM with larger injectors correctly. Monitor your wideband under boost to get your AFR's in the 11.3's-11.7's WOT.

FAST,DFI Ect are all good aftermarket systems with widband feadback and closed loop controll under WOT. There's goods and bads with aftermarket stuff. Goods.... easier to tune right away. Bads... alot less outputs than your stock ecm... the stock ECM has tons more perameters it calulates than a aftermarket that are benificial to street driving.
Depending on your over all power goal will determine if you need to go aftermarket or just change your existing system with LT1 Edit.

I'll be pretty happy to just get the car going with the turbo. I think I'll be okay watching the WB, if not, I'll know right away ;)
