BlackMac8 03-29-2008, 02:27 AM Has anyone seen this beauty??? I was looking for some 5th gen camaro pics to put on my pc's wallpaper and I ran across this Gorgeous piece of concept sheet-metal. This is what the next gen corvette should look like and if it does I'll get down on one knee and propose!!!

embpic 03-29-2008, 02:42 AM That's fugly:yuck:
I agree 100%
Pentatonic 03-29-2008, 02:43 AM No way! That looks like what would happen if the love child of a Ferrari and a Vette hit it's face on the crib resulting in a permanent facial deformation. :yuck:
95camaroinok 03-29-2008, 03:11 AM I kinda like the view of the back.....got a 60's boat-tail hint in it.... not feelin the front so much though
Tackleberry 03-29-2008, 07:58 AM I love it.
JakeRobb 03-29-2008, 08:50 AM Looks pretty cool.
I have a question about rearward visibility though...
... does it have any?
Looks like a modern 3rd gen.
2000GTP 03-29-2008, 09:14 AM No way! That looks like what would happen if the love child of a Ferrari and a Vette hit it's face on the crib resulting in a permanent facial deformation. :yuck:
 There are some features I like, but most of the rest I don't.
YARDofSTUF 03-29-2008, 09:24 AM I like it!
FS3800 03-29-2008, 09:31 AM i love it

YARDofSTUF 03-29-2008, 09:50 AM i love it
yeah rearward visibiilty would suck but who cares lol
By the time they come out with a new design maybe they'll have some rearview camera system to allow good visibility.
Raven99 03-29-2008, 10:08 AM meh
centric 03-29-2008, 10:32 AM Barf.
Z28Wilson 03-29-2008, 10:44 AM It looks like a futuristic concept car from the 70's. No thanks.
z28 justin 03-29-2008, 11:57 AM I think it looks pretty cool, could use a couple changes and some way to see out the back, but cool none-the-less.
HuJass 03-29-2008, 12:54 PM Nah.
Looks like a Hot Wheels car from the 60s or 70s.
Who ever penned that car is not very creative.
DAKMOR 03-29-2008, 01:01 PM repost.
repost.
Yup. It's not a GM concept or anything, I think I read it was something an independent company cooked up.
I for one don't care for it that much; and would NOT like the next generation Corvette to look like it.
99SilverSS 03-29-2008, 03:24 PM I'd drive it.
SSbaby 03-29-2008, 09:17 PM It looks like a futuristic concept car from the 70's. No thanks.
Exactly my thoughts. :(
KyleW93z 03-29-2008, 10:51 PM Meh, I think its pretty sweet.
BigBlueCruiser 03-30-2008, 03:26 PM I like it.
Muscular. Single block sculpturing.
Better than a Ferrari.
frusciante fan 03-30-2008, 08:38 PM it looks like a ****ing porsche
Threxx 03-30-2008, 09:00 PM Looks like what I'd expect to see if somebody commissioned Ferrari to make a semi retro styled Vette.
BTW... those brakes look completely unrealistically huge.
78montecarlo 03-30-2008, 10:08 PM I like it, it looks like a new car. Most cars looks dated the day after they arrive. They are too conventional. I like that this is very different but full of Corvette heritage.
The split grills and the creased fenders up front look heavily influenced by the C3. If anything te Ferrari 360 copied this from the C3:D (I kid). The sweeping vent in the side reminds me of the C1 coves, but in reverse. The prominent side scoop is also present in the C5 and C6, so its nice to see it continue. The flying buttress at the rear looks great from the C3 again. But they also successfully combined it with the boat tail look from the C2. Like a hybrid C2 C3 tail. Who cares about visibility, use the side mirrors like every trucker on the planet:p What C3 is so desireable by most and sits in museums so often? Its the split window 63, which had poor visibility. The driver and cockpit area is more in the middle of the car, like the C6. The cut and lines at the side window upward looks unlike any previous car, so that is a feature just for this hypothetical C7 to start a new styling theme, nice. The rounded rear fenders look similar to the round rear fenders on the C1 instead of the sharp creases from the C2,C3. 4 classic tail lights continue. This car also has a very clean look to it, difficult to describe. Like how the C4 has such a nice clean shape. The low wide stance is reminiscent of every Vette. Just my opinion, these images are filled with Corvette-ness.
I would love to see this as the C7, even toned down a bit. But I admit I have weird taste. I like different looking cars like the BWW Z4M coupe, the 2002-03 WRX, The Morgan Aero 8, Chevy HHR, etc:D
Dragoneye 03-31-2008, 12:00 AM The Front end calls to me. I like the sleekness of the overall 'package'...
But that rear HAS to go. MUCH to plan-jain for a Corvette.
Other than that...it gets a 6 'outta ten from me. The C6 ranks a 9/10 just for reference :p.
guionM 03-31-2008, 03:45 AM Nice lines, but it would have been more up to date in the 80s or early 90s.
georgejetson 03-31-2008, 07:20 AM Reminds me of some of the early drawings for what became the C5. The tail looks like it came from an early '60s Ferrari (but then, so does the C3, so I guess that's Vette heritage).
It's attractive and I wouldn't be embarrassed to drive it, but it doesn't really say "Vette" to me, and it looks a little dated.
sn8ke eatr 04-02-2008, 12:30 AM i love the rear view, besides that i dont like it
jg95z28 04-02-2008, 03:11 AM Ugur Sahin Design Z03... and a repost. :D
Capn Pete 04-02-2008, 03:02 PM One word:
Retro!! :D
Johnny Ray 04-04-2008, 08:06 PM I like it!
Angelis83LT 04-04-2008, 09:35 PM I like everything except the very front of the car.... and for everyone whining about not being able to see behind you.. thats what the side mirrors are for. I have 2 cars with no rearview mirrors and I can back up just fine and see behind me going down the road. It is NOT needed.
