I was just wondering if anyone here was running high compression with a turbo setup! The reason I ask is that I have a 95z that I`m building as a street/strip car and I have a set of srp pistons part #138085 flat tops that I can`t seem to get what I want for them, so I thought about throwing together a lt1 and using them with my turbo setup! My combo consist of:
lt1 block and crank
scat 6" rods with the srp pistons
stock heads with crane 10308 springs
comp 224/236 502/520 114 blower cam I found one cheap unless everyone thinks stock cam would do ok!
ARP headbolts
turbonetics tc76mps with about 10 psi with this setup
jgs gate and bov
air to air 31/12/4 intercooler
twin walbro in tank pumps with lucas 42# injectors (will change to 60`s or more later) I already have the 42`s
th-350 with ~4000 stall and 3.23 gears and 26" mt dr`s
Just wondering if anyone is running something similar, if so what hp and track times are u running. If I can sell these pistons locally within the next month I will probably get some speed pro turbo/blower pistons and do it right. If not I will just see what happens! I was hoping to make 500 to 550 at the wheels, also forgot to ask, what headgasket and thickness could I run to help lower compression a bit.
