Maybe I'm incorrect, but I don't believe that a stock LT-1 FPR will sense boost.

Stock FPR is 1:1 isn't it?

Greg-Just make sure it is "boost referenced" so it will increase the f.p. based on the amount of boost it is seeing, otherwise the motor will be going lean.

I looked up them on summit and i think they only make the boost referenced ones for the LT1, but i'll double check into it. Thanks for all the help, its greatly appreciated.

Yes the stock regulator will sense boost. It rises on a 1:1 ratio. So it should be at 43 at 0 boost and 53 at 10psi.

To the poster: I would stay far away from aftermarket fuel pressure regulators. If you need nonlinear(4:1 and so on) fuel pressure there are alot of people here that will sell you an FMU to use with the stock regulator.:)

So if the stock one senses boost then whats the point in buying a new one? All these people that have aftermarket ones pretty much threw their money away?
I'm in the market for one but if its a waiste then i'll spend my money elsewhere.

Its a waste of money unless you are using bigger an style fuel lines. However the stock fuel lines have proven to be good to over 700fwhp. So yes there is no reason to buy a fuel pressure regulator unless yours is leaking or has gone bad.

Try a search on aeromotive fuel pressure regulators. Nothing but trouble and no performance gain.

It's total waist, I used Aeromotive it leaked, never got more than 40psi:eek:...

I was going to buy one until the dyno shop that tuned my car said not to use one. They make if very difficult to tune the car properly and they are not very consistent. I think his exact words were, “Slush box.”
