jchevy 03-21-2008, 07:40 PM Im trying to find a factory stock LT1 crank and not having much luck. Any of you guys got one laying around you are willing to part with.
I have a post in the wanted section, but i dont really think there is to much traffic in there. I know a lot of you guys went fully forged:)
Let me know, its the last big peice i need for my build.
IROCThisZ28ForLife 03-21-2008, 07:46 PM you try craigslist?
jchevy 03-21-2008, 08:18 PM Yeah, not much LT1 stuff in Tucson or Phoenix. I even tried the local message boards, no one seems to have anything. Mostly LS1 Guys in Arizona it seems like.
cvccbum 03-21-2008, 10:34 PM I have one. PM me with what its worth to ya.
97WS6Pilot 03-22-2008, 12:40 AM I've got one too. Its ready to go and I coated it with oil so no rust. It is very heavy so shipping could be rough. Let me know if you need it.:)

To bad I dont still live in Cincy. About what do you think it weighs?
To either of you guys, tell me what its worth to you to box it up and ship it to me?

A stock LT-1 crank is not specific to just LT-1 motors as you may or may not know. In other words, ANY quality "one piece rear main" crank will work, so look for a crank that is from an '87 (I believe) or newer SBC. This widens your search a lot.

I can ship it to Tucson for $180. Its out of my 97 TA(1 owner) that ran perfect when I removed it so I know it is in good shape. It has about 110,000 on it so it will need to be miked and polished. It is just sitting in my garage so I can ship it out fast. Let me know.:)
BTW it weighs approximately 75 pds on the curl meter. LOL.

I've got one too. You'll pay more for shipping than finding a local salvage yard willing to part with one. If not we're all here to send you one take your pick.

You must be a Walmart shopper. LOL. I figured it would cost me about $60 to ship. So $120 is not a bad price for an LT1 crank. I will bet you like to coc block at the bar too.
jchevy 03-23-2008, 11:53 AM Thanks for the responses guys. I figured shipping would be pretty expensive. I was dumb back when I bought my extra block. I was planning on doinf a stroker at the time and i turned down the rotating assembly for $25:o

Dont' be a dick, most of the lt1 FI guys are budget shoppers now. I've got one I would gladly give you but the shipping would still be bad.

Your right I should keep my political views of Walmart out of here. However, I don't think it is right for someone(dookie454) to give me a hard time because I posted a price for an lt1 crank that he/she thought was too high or could undercut. I don't want to give up my crank for free because at some point I plan on using it again for another 355 rebuild with my spare block. I personally think that GM stock cranks are higher quality and are held to closer tolerances than alot of aftermarket cranks. So my "crank" is worth alot to me.LOL;)
BLWNLT1 03-28-2008, 05:49 PM I've got one that ready to drop in... Running perfect when removed and has been polished... I let it go for 70 plus shipping. Cant beat that

97WS6Pilot since you keep bringing this up I this is my only reply to you.
You need to calm down.
No one's out to get you.
I never gave you a hard time I simply posted a link to a brand new crank for the same price for comparitive purposes... In other words I was "helping out". I would have posted that price/link if someone offered $20 for a stock crank... still would be comparitive.
Im not posting another repy to you about this discussion (specifically in response to your high schoolish comments - as you can see I ignored your first attack) since it's not worth anyone's time so dont keep this going or bring me up in any more of your discussion.
