What do you think of Amsoil Products?JooneJune 03-13-2008, 05:02 PM As the title states, My step-father is a dealer and has been chewing my ear off on how good the product is. Anyone use it? what weight? Z28SORR 03-13-2008, 06:21 PM I think they are over rated. But I also don't think you will hurt anything if you use them. JMO TheZ_project 03-13-2008, 07:21 PM Amsoil has very good ratings and reviews on their products from independant sources. There is one site that has a very good comparison of most major oil brands and their various weights. It gives a lot of great info about the oils and also explains what each measurement and test is for. From what I remeber amsoil was pretty close to the best across the board for most of their motor oils where as some of the other companies were great in some areas but very poor performers in others. I will try and find the sight. JooneJune 03-13-2008, 10:10 PM I've herd they were better then Royal Purple, but I doubted it. from what I gather RP and Ams are on the same level. Has anyone tried either or both? Like's dislikes? 94_PatriotRed_Z 03-13-2008, 10:38 PM I use nothing but Amsoil in my car. Its in my motor, transmission, and rear end. I like it I use Amsoil XL 7500, which I change the filter(Amsoil filter) every 3,000 miles, and the oil every 6,000 miles. I change the transmission and rear end fluid once a year. Its all cheap insurance in my book. CheshireCat 03-14-2008, 08:58 AM Amsoil is very good oil, but so are many other brands. It is expensive by comparison to many similar products. | ||
