I have edelbrock headers with a 94 stock cat on it, I am in the process of putting on a magnaflow cat back on. I bought it used and the original owner cut off the end. My question is what is the size of the stock cat's outlet? I want to order the correct size to connect the cat to the cat back. I want to go this route for easy of install/removal? Is this the one I need?

Bassani Ball & Socket Connector Kit, 3" Diameter, Stainless Steel

This is one from Thunder Racing. I want to get one that is Stainless Steel. Thanks

If you are welding the cat-back on then usually the muffler shop will mate the two together, the cat-back diameter pipe is 3".. from the cat (You should upgrade to high-flow cat) would be either 3" or 2.5"

Also would like to know this, what is the outlet diameter on the stock 95 cat?

The y-pipe and cat is welded together and the catback is complete minus the part the original onwer cut off. So muffler shops have ball flanges in stock? Like I said I want to be able to un-bolt the I-pipe and y-pipe/cat assembly. How does the magnaflow I-pipe come new?

The Magnaflow i-pipe is slightly over 3 inches. I was able to slip it over my 3" y-pipe and hold it together with a band clamp. I would guess muffler shops should have ball flanges in stock, wouldn't hurt to call them on it first. Usually they cost a little bit more versus buying them from an online vendor such as Summit or Jegs.

Thanks 2000GTP. So is the 3in ball flange in my first post the one I need? Thanks.
