You might end up breaking them or scratching your wheel, but you should be able to pry the old ones out.

Honestly? Why would you risk the chance of scratching your wheels just so you dont have to take off 20 lugnuts?

I did it and it was pretty easy with the right technique. Having a small pick tool and getting it just right will work the best. A razor blade will also work. Just be careful either way not to put nicks in the rims.

maybe, depending on when i get the center decals done, i'll just have the body shop do it when the car is in to have the hood painted and installed in a few weeks

Just buy a cheap, lightweight type jack and save yourself some trouble.

You could try suction, like a small plunger.

ok i replaced my center caps and did it the long way, ie taking off the wheels. but i have another question. i put the new caps on with the wheels on. they all seemed to go on ok although one of the rear wheels looks like the cap on one side is slightly further in than the rest of the cap. it seemes like its tight though and the rest are about as far out as the majority of that cap. only one small section is sunk in. my question is, do you need to have the wheels off to install center caps on ZR1's? they seem like they went on tight and i drove it around for a mile or 2 but not over 25mph. i just want to make sure i'm not gonna lose one down the road later.
