What's your pricing guess?

Plain and simple.

Assume there will be three V8 models; call them BASE, MEDIUM, HIGH. No price ranges; actual MSRP.

Assume BASE is the V8 stripped down, no frills model; MEDIUM gives you a different or slightly modified engine with more HP (+30/50) and a few amenities like leather and the infamous 6-disk CD changer; HIGH adds to that the "biggest" engine option (another +30/50 hp), better suspension/brakes, a top-notch header/exhaust package, and makes coffee for you on the way to work.:bow:

This is not a discussion about how or why or anything else; just for fun to enter your guesses so we can come back in 237 days (or when actual pricing is released) and see who is(was) closest...

BASE : 28740
MEDIUM : 33960
HIGH: 37210

I don't care how much it cost, I can't afford it anyway. And I sure as hell won't make payments on a car......so I will have to keep my old clunkers

After reading that hybrid thread, I think it will be:

$26,500 for a nicely equiped v6
$49,875 for an entry level V8
$58,880 for a top dawg V8

i have to give gm enough credit to think they will have a leaner production line this time.

basic car, 6cyl, pwrwindows and locks, but not seats, mirrors, or special wheels.
21999.

mid grade car, mid power engine, power everything, leather, no big wheels.

25999

big boy toy, 500 hp engine, leather, pwr everything, 21&22 wheels, z rubber.
32999

remember, yes, it has been several years since camaro was built, but when it was built, it was done in a dedicated facility, using old(er) tech and architecture.

i bought a 99 silverado new for 26800, five years later, i could buy the same truck for 22900 from just about any dealer.

500hp camaro for 32,999 is a pipe dream. Add 10,000.

A full loaded Sky Redline cost 33315, you think it will cost less than that to get a loaded Camaro?

I doubt with all my soul there will be 3 V8 choices...even including the "divorce maker" (I like that term :lol:) And that Hybrid thread isn't anything to judge the rest of the Camaro lineup by.

So...forgive the modification - but I believe this to be most practical for a relatively high-production, popular w/ young buyers Camaro:

Base V6...enough toys to please your daily-driver driver, and ~260hp: $21,000

Hi-po V6...some more toys, but not enough to dazzle you, and ~300hp : $23,000-$24,500

Normal, everday V8 (eqiv. Mustang GT)...Plenty of toys, but not a Cadillac:p, and ~ 360-400hp:$28,000(34k being "loaded", look at the G8)

The Divorce-Maker. About the same amount of toys are the GT-fighter, but options for many, many more, and 480+ hp: $36,000-$40,000 (43k being "loaded")

A steal if they could wing it. This car would fly out the door.

Exactly. That what I'm thinking, too. The one below it would be for folks who are afraid of any hp rating that starts with 3 or more. (They are out there....;))

We'll only have to wait a few more month to see who's right here!!:D

Base = $22,499
Performance = $27,499
Halo = $42,999

Yeah, sign me up for the $24k performance V6! I can't afford much more than that and don't need the expense of feeding and insuring a 400 horsepower V8. Since it will be my daily driver, a 300 horsepower 6 with just a few toys to make it comfy will be just fine!
