chrome? silver? polished?

What kind of rims do you like?

or anything else, wondering what most people like...personally i like silver

I like chrome the best. Just seems right for a wheel.:)

chrome IMO looks fake if thats the word for it. i had chrome stock 97 rims on my car and they looked ok but too flashy for me. now have osme painted ZR1 rims and am MUCH MUCH happier looking at them on my car. chrome shines like a star (if you clean em) but painted or others really show off the true characterists of the wheel that chrome tends to distort.

I like the look of polished. The chrome is my second, but it stands out a little to much. I think polished is just the right look for me.

But, I went with ROHs Black Ice finish, aka Chrome Shadow...Perfect for me!

I chose the other option...for my favorite is the Anthracite, aka: Black Chrome, aka: Gunmetal, aka: some other stuff...(see the second picture on this (http://blevins.carsouth.com/photo6.html) page).

i voted for chrome but it all depends what color the car is i like chrome on red black blue etc but on white or silver i like black or gunmetal

I think it all depends on th ecolour of the car. With deep and candy colours...polish or chrome or whatever. But with colours like bright red polished makes the colour look plasticy

I just went from polished mags to chrome Corvette wheels, and my car looks a lot better, and i get many compliments already. I really like them on my black car. Fingers

Chrome is just too big blinglin to me.****ed if i'm adding 5lbs a rim (rotational AND unsprung mass:eek: ) for chrome too:rolleyes:

I like my polished wheels. I compared them to my friends chrome wheels and the chrome ones just look kinda cheap compared to polished.

I depends on the car. But for the most part I would say Chrome. They are soooooooo easy to clean. I wasted too much of my life trying to clean up painted wheels with limited results.

I like polished. Chrome can look cheap and pits and rusts over time. Ide rather spend a couple hours every few months then the wheels will look new again.

I take my chrome wheels off every winter and put them back on when the streets are clean again.

It's a 1998 TA and no pitting or blemishes.........yet. :D

Chrome on most cars. It also depends on the type of car and the style of wheel though. Some cars look bad with chrome rims, and certain wheel styles in chrome would look bad on any car.

Also, a chrome plated aluminum rim should have a longer life than a chrome plated steel one, especially if you keep them clean and out of salty environments if possible. At least if there is slight corrosion, it won't look nearly as bad as rusting steel.
