Interior Poll Time...CLEAN 01-28-2008, 06:40 PM In the spirit of the election year, lets have a straight up poll. No posts about what you think, there are enough of those, just Yes-Maybe-No. It is not a public poll, so lets just see the numbers. Tkc23 01-28-2008, 06:47 PM so far i think it is one of the better interiors out there, not quite as good as the malibu but getting there it is WAY better than the mustang or challenger jg95z28 01-28-2008, 06:49 PM http://forums.pcpitstop.com/style_emoticons/New_emoticons/dead-horse-fast2.gif M85Iroc-Z 01-28-2008, 06:56 PM yeah, looks pretty good, its been growing on me. 91Z28350 01-28-2008, 06:58 PM voted not sure, need to see it in person and take it in as a whole. 3rdGenNut 01-28-2008, 07:03 PM I like it from the gauge pods back. Unfortunately, I wont see any of it when I'm driving. I voted no because of the center uni-boob bulge with two nipples and the gigantic vents on the dash. ForYourMalice 01-28-2008, 07:40 PM it is WAY better than the mustang or challenger Yes, by leagues... Noth'nLikeaSmBlock 01-28-2008, 07:47 PM The interior design looks great especially the way the parking brake and cupholders were incorporated with the armrest.. It will be nice not to reach infront of the shifter for my caffiene fix which is a pain in the butt with my current import (I not proud of this fact, but it requires $0 car payment as I put away for its replacement). The stupid design of my import makes one of the cupholders or 1rst gear useless. Any chance we can get that armrest to extend forward when the cupholders aren't inuse? Other Positives: Design of the steering wheel. Overhead storage console (based on previous pics). Thoughtful placement of fuel & temp within the tach & speedometer. Simple and USEABLE ac vents! Also, those wheels could really look GOOD!:D Have we seen anything like them in the other spy shots? 97z28/m6 01-28-2008, 08:20 PM Any chance we can get that armrest to extend forward when the cupholders aren't inuse?thats a good idea. Bayer-Z28 01-28-2008, 08:29 PM yeah, looks pretty good, its been growing on me. Exactly.. It came a long way since the Concept.. I just can't wait to drive it and see if my elbow still fits in the same spot on the top of the door panel... Left hand on the wheel and the elbow on the top of the door panel.. My 4th Gen has almost a rut there now from that.. Keeps me from slipping off... Me likey! :D NVMY68SS 01-28-2008, 09:36 PM VOTED YES HERE!!! I have a question for all the "gauge haters" out there. Have any of you ever sit in a car that had these style gauges in this location? Personally, this was the first change that I made to my 68. And as you may or may not see in the pic, they are actually under the radio area. The end of the console goes pretty far past where you would think it should, but they are totally visible with a quick glance. It's all about seat and driver placement. Don't knock it til you sit in it. I remember from drivers ed being taught to briefly glance to all three of your mirrors to check what was going on around you while driving. Now, one of these is up, and the other two are to each side, OUTSIDE the vehicle. Jason had a good point in his post in a different thread about changing the radio stations, etc. For Gods sake, we have people texting on their damn cell phones while driving, but we can't glance at gauges in the console without running off the road........PLEASE!!! These gauges are one of the things I truly expected to lose, but am extremely happy to see that they made it this far and will be in the production car I order...........sorry to rant, but I had to get it out. http://www.bowtiebrigade.net/heater%20control%20panel.jpg Thanks.........now back to the thread............ Tkc23 01-28-2008, 09:43 PM hey you made a good point we dont complain about glancing at our cell phone or our radio but when it comes to acually driving nobody wants to do it. even though texting while driving is illegal here in Phoenix :) Dragoneye 01-28-2008, 10:24 PM Voted yes. But I reserve the right to continue thinking yes. :p It all becomes a matter of perception. And around here(enthusiast boards)- opinions of what you want in a sports car, or more specifically a Camaro, becomes very divided. It's sad - but kinda good, too. If everybody liked it - there'd be nobody trying to think of a better way to do something. So with the facts in mind that, unfortunately, this car was not designed and built FOR us (enthusiasts), and it will not please ALL of us (enthusiasts) - those that don't like an aspect can try and improve it for the betterment of the masses.:thumb: Oh - to cut through the fat, and repeat myself, I said 'yes'. CLEAN 01-28-2008, 10:31 PM http://www.bowtiebrigade.net/heater%20control%20panel.jpg Off topic, but is it my eyes, or is your shift ball upsidedown? 4THGEN Z 01-28-2008, 11:08 PM Voted yes as well.. http://www.bowtiebrigade.net/heater%20control%20panel.jpg I like the console gauges, I have a couple in my Z  http://www3.sympatico.ca/splt1/Uploaded_files/StewZ/dashplaque.JPG 90rocz 01-28-2008, 11:32 PM Sorry , no, "not at this stage".... I think this poll is a good idea, seeing as how some are saying "everyone" "Loves" it. It looks pretty even so far, between those who love it, and those who decidedly or undecidedly don't. BigDarknFast 01-29-2008, 07:02 AM Sorry , no, "not at this stage".... I think this poll is a good idea, seeing as how some are saying "everyone" "Loves" it. It looks pretty even so far, between those who love it, and those who decidedly or undecidedly don't. I voted too. I've been trying to follow the OP's directions, and not make a political statement here. But now that some have... I guess I could make the same claim as above, and say that a lot are either in favor, or waiting to see... NVMY68SS 01-29-2008, 07:21 AM Off topic, but is it my eyes, or is your shift ball upsidedown? DOH!! Yes, unfortunately when I took that picture, I had just gotten the shifter plate finished and noticed it myself when I was putting pics on my site. It has since been corrected.......but thanks for noticing.......that's what I really like about all these forums, everyone is so keen eyed to pic up every little detail. :cz28: | ||
