Hey I was wondering if anybody knew if and how we could put a push button start in our f-bodies. It just seems like a real nice addition. Also does anybody make a momentary switch in a battle style form. I wanted to use the battle switch to turn the key to on and the engine start button to start it. Just thought that'd be cool.

Here's a pic i found on shbox's site that'll help with the vats i guess

It would be easy to do but your gonna have to hack up the harness and install several relays as the switch is not going to be able to handle the power.

Have you thought about how your going to protect your car against getting stolen??

I was actually thinking of keeping the VATS so that the key is used for that and the rest is with the other two switches. Or maybe i'll just skip the battle switch altogether.

How do i intall just the engine start button (while using the key to turn to on) ?

Thanks

Consult the starter schematics on my website.

It doesn't make much sense to me to have push-button start if you still have to insert the key into the lock cylinder. Might as well just roll the key over at that point.

Yeah I know what you mean, its just really for a cool factor, definitely not some practicality. Unless I can have one of those nifty wireless key things like on some mercedes and bmws. Does someone sell aftermarket stuff like that?
