no heat!

this would normaly be an easy fix but mods have complicated things... i think :confused: at first the air was just warm enough to defrost when it was cold and that was fine. then it would only get warm when i first put it on then it would blow cold again? wait a few mins. turn it on same thing blow warm 10secs. then cold again. now nuthing but cold. mods involved are hyperteck prog with fans set for 160deg and hypk 160 thermst. !!!! I HAVE FOUND FLUID BUT CANT SEEM TO FIND THE LEAK. COULD A CRACKED RAD. CAUSE THIS?

A clogged heater core is the most common source of no heat. You can flush it out with a garden hose.

Try searching and there is almost nothing more common on our cars. There are tons of threads on this. Its been 0 degrees here so i will have to wait to do the garden hose thing or it will all freeze and then what.

I would just replace it. I flushed mine and it started to leak, being 13 years old did not help. I purchased a new Delphi unit at Autozone for $56 tax included, and it was worth every penny for heat. I have the same stat and crappy Hypertech programming as you but now with good heat.

The problem with just replacing it is there still may be a blockage when your done. Be sure to flush it real good before so you don't get any gunk in the new one.
