A few nights ago when I got in the car and turned the lights on and noticed that the backlight for the a/c fan system didn't come on, what should I check first and how do you go about fixing this? Thanks to all that help.

Probably just a dead bulb. You'll have to pull some of the interior trim off and remove the HVAC controls to get to it. Not sure what size it is though.

that's what I figured it was, so it's a little bit of a pian in the butt, but pretty easy over all, I'm guessing.

I made a list of the things that are "pretty easy over all" on these cars.
Fill gas tank.
Check oil.
Check tire pressure.
Please tell us how you made out with the console lighting.

ok, well maybe sounds pretty easy to do, I've been being lazy and haven't messed with it yet, though it pisses me off every time I get in the car at night.

it really is simple. just tedious removing the dash panels to get to it. shouldnt take more than 45 min start to finish with a drill and the right sockets.
