I have a Momo knob on my Pro 5.0. Took a little bit of clearancing inside the hole to fit onto the stick, not much, took just a few minutes with an air grinder.

Bayer:

Do you have anything besides the Knob?? (Heehee I said Knob:alert:)

I've got SLP's Shifter Base, the same knob, and Lou's Short Stick (http://www.angelfire.com/fl/lscamaross/lous2.html) ;)

With all of that the shifting feels entirely different, precise, and quick.

SLP doesn't seem to sell the Shifter Base anymore, but here's a package from AfterMarketAuto.com Pro 5.0 Package (http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/pro50towshif.html) that would be similar:D

Check out http://www.ripps70.com/Page_1.html

They have a ton of different options, and can even make you a custom one like they did for me

Mine here. Custom made marble. Can't remember the name off hand though. Still a trade secret. ;)

Those look nice, but do they get hot in the summer? I had afriend that had an hard plastic one and it would get hotter than I care to touch after the car sat out in the summer.

On the short stick 5.0 combo, I wouldn't spend the extra cash. All you have to do is litereally cut .25" off the top of the shifter stick supplied by Pro 5.0 and you have a short stick. Don't worry, the stick is threaded further down than needed. There now you have $30-40 extra that you didn't spend on a Lou's stick to put towards a knob.

On the Lou's Stick issue, you CAN just cust the stocker, except that it has a Jog in it, and IMHO that puts the Shifter slightly out of place when cut:irk:

So if $50 is an issue go for the chop, but I would stand behind Lou and the Short Stick;):thumb:

Nothing will get much cooler than marble or plastic in the heat of the summer (maybe rubber, but it'll still be hot). They really aren't bad IMO, especially compared to a metal shift knob. I have one of those in my Formula, and it will give you frostbite in the winter, and burn you in the summer.

W/the pro 5.0 you don't use the stock stick. The stick provided w/the pro 5.0 is a solid piece of metal just like the Lou's. It just comes longer so you can cut it to your desired length.

I had an aftermarket short stick on my stock Hurst. When I bought to the pro 5.0, it was used and the stick had already been cut and was the same length as the aftermarket short stick I had.

Ahhhhhh Sounds like then you could skip Lou's Short stick if you go wiith the Pro 5.0 Shifter as long as you shorten the stick yourself:cool:

I went with a C6 shift knob. It was in the 80$s if I remember right, but definitely looks kick ass.
