Finally got all the gauges from Autometer, and put them in. It took almost a year for them to finish testing the Nexus line of gauges, but we think it was worth it.

Awsomeeeeeeeee i was going to mess with it but decided id wait until someone else did it....i saw it on ebay for around 125 how much did you spend on it??? does it glow in the dark at night?

What was $125.00? We made the instrument cluster for less then that, but the Autometer Nexus (http://www.autometer.com/demos/nexus/)gauges were alot more then that. They are probably the coolest and most expensive gauges we have ever installed.

"Not a bad way to spend $10,000" (Vin Diesel, Fast and the Furious)

Lol, it looks badass, but I'm sure it cost a small fortune as the Nexus gages are AutoMeter's top of the line gauges and carry a very hefty price tag per guage.

They are mostly for the WOW factor, but do have built in waring lights, data logging and dash play back.

They should make the car faster, and create better fuel economy for the price they are charging ;). Dare I ask, how much did all the gauges and the Nexus controller cost all together?

Eric@Victory Racing
01-19-2008, 06:02 PM
Let's just say ALOT. We have 11 gauges and the 12 gauge controller with remote.

Lol, I had a feeling it would be too much to even tell us. It looks amazing though man. When you get the car up and running (if it isn't already) please get some in car video with the gauges for those of us that will only ever be able to dream about having them in our cars.

I will take a video on Monday of the start up process on the gauges. It is a production every time the vehicle powers up.

BTW we will be selling the instrument cluster plates for $100.00 with or without holes already drilled.

If you guys can get me the instrument cluster and the gauges for under $750, you've got a buyer! J/K

Are you guys by any chance making any clusters for gauges in the CD holder area under the CD player in a 4 gen Camaro? There used to be a company that made one for that area, but they stopped selling them

That's NICE. I've got nexus gauges in two of my 3 cars (third will be soon once it's done). I was waiting for someone to do that. By my estimation, you've probably got at or near retail pricing, $2500 in the gauges alone......am I close? :D

Here's a pic. This is out of SRZ's car, and he has modified it with the swithces, however you can see how it would work well for gauges, and since no one makes them anymore, I'd bet you could make a decent profit from making something similar to them.

What is the plate made of? Color options?

Eric@Victory Racing
01-22-2008, 07:22 PM
We have made them out of ABS and Steel so far. The steel ones could be powder coated any color want, but the abs are stuck black.

Will these fit older LT1? If not any plans to make some for the older cars? We need gauges too.

They are different, but we have done them for '93-'97 too.

I'm pretty sure it was RK Sport who was making those.

Yeah these always seemed like a great idea, I dunno why they quit making them. If I had known they were gonna go bye-bye I woulda bought one.

Also, last time I saw one for sale it went pretty high. I know there are people who will buy them, myself included. That CD hole is pretty useless.

Nice...bit hefty on the benji's though... ;)

People could definetely use cheaper autometer gauges though, for the budget minded. looks bada$$ though.

Here is my contribution, I know the VRE peice is expensive since they used the nexus autometer guages. I have almost $800 in this pod system  Phantom autometer guages, guage pod custom built, and black powdercoating.
