Injuneer has a good write-up here: http://members.aol.com/InjuneerZZ/HALEibch.htm
Just ignore the details regarding the HAL specific changes.

I'm not familiar with the specifics of the Bilsteins. Are you talking about the front or rear shocks? What "big washer thing"? Where is it located (or supposed to be located)?

They are the Front, one washer came with each shock, its about 1.5 " end to end and about a 1/4" is bent over on the sides. Its really hard to describe. I will take a pic and post it.

The stock shock has a big washer that sits on top of the shock, to act as the impact surface for the jounce bumper built into the stock dust cover. Upper right in this photo....

Thats it, thanks Injuneer. So the washer goes on the shock than the dust cover goes over that? The Bilsteins also have a dust cover, I cant remember if the Bilsteins came with the washer or if I stole them off my old shocks. I will probally be able to tell soons I disassemble the shock from the spring. Maybe it doesent even need that washer. Im gonna tear it apart Saturday I will let you know. Thanks again
