I think a little lip spoiler would be all that car needs.

I, personally, never liked the SS spoiler.

I loved how the 4th Gen's had 'integrated' spoilers that fluidly merged with the rear quarter panel.

But I liked the slightly more dressed up look of it with the added lip of the Appearance Package best.

I'm anxious to see the 5th Gen with a GFX/spoiler package.

I think the 5th Gen would look nice with both a lip spoiler (not too small though) and a low profile spoiler (wing) like the 3rd Gen Firebirds (and most other cars) had(have).

The SS spoiler did "fluidly merge with the rear quarter panel. It just rose in the center instead of remaining flat.

I hated the fact that the 4th gen had an integrated spoiler that couldn't be removed with out looking like complete ass. I for one love the idea of a wingless decklid. Obviously this look couldn't be done on the 4th T/A or Camaro but it looks great on a GTO and the new mustang. Unless the 5th gen comes with a small lip spoiler that I absolutley love I am going to run a clean wingless decklid.

Wings have always been Pontiac's thing, stick with a sporty looking "duck tail" or "Lip" spoiler.

That rising in the center just looked wrong to me though. I much preferred the added 'lip spoiler' that the Sport Appearance Package had.

90% of cars look 'incomplete' without some kind of spoiler imo. Especially the Mustang.

When it comes to big wings/spoilers, I hope GM leaves it to the aftermarket or makes it a standalone dealer option. I'm not a spoiler fan, that's one of the reasons why I think the 4th Gen Camaro looks good - no big spoiler. But then again, I'm one of the (I guess) few people who like the new Bullitt Mustang - again, no spoiler, which makes it the best looking Mustang in my book. Hell, even when I bought a V6 4th Gen Camaro ten years ago, I had the dealer search out a "RS" i.e., Y87 car without the spoiler.

I'd like to see what they offer from the factory. I like a subtle spoiler, but not something so small it's hardly there.

No spoiler doesn't look 'clean' to me. It looks like they forgot to put on the 'finishing touch'. Kinda like a Christmas Tree without the star... (Sorry, angels on a tree just look like an angel with a tree stuck up it's @$$.)

I hope they don't have a big spoiler and based on the trunk height of the vehicle and rear visability I personally doubt there will be any kind of OEM high rise spoiler offered. My hope is for a w/o version and then a lip spoiler available either factory or dealer installed. :D

No wing, low profile spoiler is fine.

^^ I'm with this guy. I'm sure Chevy knows not to put a 3rd row seat in the back, but instead put the the traditional Camaro ducktail in the rear. If the Camaro doesn't have a spoiler, it doesn't look like the top trim level to me. I just know they will put something like whats on the concept.

I don't think we can compare the type of spoilers that were used in the 4th gen camaros to the ones that could be used on the 5th gen. The issue is that they are wel.. very different designs. When looking at possible spoiler for the 5th gen we need to go to the other generations of the car...

this is what looks good on 3rd gens...

I have ALWAYS like that tail on the 3rd gens.. I don't know if something somewhat like it would look good on the 5th gen. Also like the LIP, RS looking spoiler that they had in the concept.

That's classic GTO styled spoilers, tho they used them on the '91-'92 Z28's..

My '90 has a classic Camaro "lip" spoiler, tho I'd have liked it a bit taller like the Monte Carlo had.

I didn't think that spoiler was ugly on the 3rd Gen Z28's, but I did think it was too tall. I'd like to see the same STYLE spoiler on the 5th Gen, but at a height of no more than 3 inches or so.

I thought the lip spoiler looked better on the 3rd Gens myself.

I'd like to see a couple spoiler options.

I hope that it comes with the option of a small lip spoiler. On the spy pics of the camaro it doesn't have one. I think a lip spopiler would be perfect for the Camaro.

i want a small to medium lip if they dont have that im sure that some aftermarket company would make one and i definately dont want a big wing this is an american muscle car not a rice burner

mpilarZ281992

I think large wings on rice burners seems to be some "over compensating" issue. If done right, a larger wing on the camaro would fit a "big and bold" design on the body; however, an additional ground package may be needed to compliment it. Im sure a lip would be nice, but somewhat unnecessary, but then again this is a camaro and many aspects of the car is really unnecessary. I would like to the car to stand out in a confident manner, not just hey this is a cool design and now resembles almost everything else out there. Not many car designs include wings currently, this would be a nice option for today's market. Just my opinion.

a lip spoiler like the original '69 Z/28 is all the car needs. A retro body style with an evo like wing would just look stupid, I don't think the factory would go that way.
