LT1-TA

Well.. every step of the way my car plays games with my head.
Made it like 30 miles with the turbo and the head gasket lets loose...
Get that fixed... Before i ever got it started I had problems... always of course. It just ended up being that I had the air pump plug plugged into the Msd harness that went to the coil. Obviously not gunna work.
I had been working on it for like 12 hours, i couldn't find the coil plug. Came back the next day and found it right away after I threw the Msd harness to the side. Started it up and backed it out the shop.
The following day I wanted to get it heated up and check it all out. At this point I have a exhaust leak out the header v-band (bummer, gunna be a bitch to fix). And well.. it kinda never stopped heating up.
Two days later (today), I went to pull it into the shop and hear a NASTY noise. Now im a lil pist. I already told myself if this motor gives me anymore problems im ditching the lt1, buying a 6.0 and a k-member. Sell my hot parts and build parts for the LS motor. lol
Well I brought it into the shop. Decided I would guess it was a rocker arm. Took off the easy side first. And sure as ****, the very first rocker arm was off the push tube. Hmmm.. I have no idea how in the hell it did that and know I set it. I put it all back together and adjusted it. Gave ever rocker arm a extra lil turn.
Decided I better look at the other side while i was at it so I swung the alternater out my way and took a look at the rocker arms on the pass side... all looked good. I gave them all a lil extra turn for a piece of mind.
K. got that done.... Jacked the nose of the car way up and bled the coolant system. All good there now. No heat problems now. Then I take a seat in the car and listen to it... miss. Hmm. Does it ever stop?
I decided I was gunna head out home now but would give a quick glance to see if the miss was something obvious. Looked at all the plug wire to the plugs and then to the dizzy. Looked like one of the wires wasn't on just quite all the way. Gave it a lil push and *click**Click*...
Sweet =D . Car is running awesome. I can't wait to give it some more beatings. Got to get the Lc1 in and the walbro next week and we'll see what we are workin with.
Still a lil hope with the motor yet. I would hope so... It has 10k on it. Its a .040 rebuild. So a stick with the lt1 for awhile yet
