96 B4C White 383 Procharged
Thinking about selling my 1996 camaro. Bought the car 4 years ago stock from a friend who sells auction cars. It is a B4C car and was highway patrol in upstate ny. The car had 96,000 when i bought it and now has 141,500. The car has gone through alot. It was rearended in a hit and run 2 years ago. The car was blue, but due to the damage i had to repair the back half of the car. The car was then painted artic white. The paint is in decent shape. Still shines, but has a few chips and scratches. The driver side door is splitting at the skin, but i have a new door that just needs to be painted and put on. The interior is in decent shape for its age. The carped and seats have a few stains. The seats dont have any tears. The center console lid is broken and the cassete holder is missing. It has an Alpine head unit, stock speakers.
The car was originally auto, but i did the T56 conversion w/ centerforce dual friction clutch and all new hydraulics. The trans shifts awesome and the clutch holds real well. NO SLIP or Grinds!! The rearend is from a 98 camaro w/ 3.42 gears. No whine and good posi. The motor spun a bearing at 140,000 so i went crazy and spent almost 6,000$ on high performance rebuid. The motor was a 4 bolt main motor so i left the stock caps. The motor was line bored, boiled, magnafluxed, bored, honed, freeze plugs and all clearincing was done for the stroker. I installed a Scat 383 rotating assembly with 4340 6" H-Beam rods w/upgraded ARP rod bolts, Probe SRS 4340 4.030 inverted dome pistons (-12.8 cc), Scat Nodular iron 3.75" stroke crank. The motor has all clevite bearings. Melling high pressure oil pump with hardend shaft. Stock pan and windage tray clearenced for the stroker. The heads are CNC ported and wear bought used. I dont have much info other than what the guy i bought them from said. They were supposedly done at Katech. The ports look real nice and the valves are manley hardened 2.02/1.6. The intake manifold was hand ported by me, gasket matched. The cam is comp cam blower grind 224/236 low lift. It has 918 springs and comp cam 1.6 pro magnum rockers. Pacesetter 1 3/4 long tubes, 3 inch offroad y-pipe with 3" cutout to MAC catback. I also installed a procharger p600b w/ twin high flow intercoolers. It has the 8 rib pulleys with a custom tensioner. I have seen 12 lbs at 5800 rpm.
I have an innovative motorsports LC1 w/ XD16 gauge mounted under the radio and an Autometer Boost/vacuum gauge. MSD cap and rotor/ MSD 8.5 wires, MSD Blaster coil, NGK Tr6 plugs gapped at 0.32". Nitto 555r tires in the rear and goodyears gsc in front. Brakes are fairly new. I have alot invested in the car, odviously i wont get it all back, but wondering what its worth. I dont have any timeslips with this setup or dyno numbers, but let me tell you it is scary fast. No traction from a 60 mph roll in 3rd. When it had the cc306 and bolt ons i ran 12.56 at 111.15 with a 1.72 60' at E-town in NJ. Also i will throw in my LT1 edit and tunercat software w/ cable. I do all the tuning on the car. Its set right now in cl mode with a 11.5-12.00 AFR on the wideband with 25* of timing no knock.(at full throtle.) The car needs the door put on and the Z28 badges. The interior could use a shampoo and the center console lid. I was thinking i should get at least 12,500$. Pictures upon request. Located in Queens NY.
