transmission slipping

i can feel my transmission slipping when im cruising at about 40 miles per hour and also sometimes when i decelerate im thinking about buying this rebuild kit do yall think it would help

i think i might have my dad do it cause he owns a mechanic shop and used to rebuild transmissions

You will not need a vacuum modulator here, the pcs will do fine.

That kit would be Ok for a basic rebuild, but I wouldn;'t want to put any real power through it. Some of those parts are marginal, at best. One thing about that list that's really disturbing is the fact that an SKF input sprag is included. Anyone who's building (or supplying parts) for any 4L60E that sees any kind of HP knows they won't last long. The 3-4 clutch arrangement in that kit leaves alot to be desired. There's definitely better out there, as well as the stock type 2-4 band. I still can't believe people still use the teflon coated pump bushings.:rolleyes: I guess they haven't been around 4L60E's enough to see how many of them fall out of the pumps.
$500 seems a little high for a bunch of stock rebuild parts. For that much money, you can build a transmission with ALOT better parts.
