Pilot bushing vs pilot bearing??

Yup, I did the search. Nothing real conclusive from anytime recently.
So, what are the good/bad of each??
I rebuilt my motor and put the bearing in 3 years ago. No issues. The car howls when I put it in neutral and let out the clutch though, but my synchros are shot and Im pretty sure the bearings are probably mad at the 438rwhp that get put through it.
Anyway, I drive it hard, but just on the street. I have not noticed anything bad about the bearing, but Ill be rebuilding the tranny this winter, and goin with the street twin from McLeod, along with a dana 60 rear. Im sick of puckerin my butthole when I floor it. :D
So, do I need to yank that little bearing out of there and go kevlar? How long does each last? I hate workin on the same thing over and over, so I want longevity mostly... and whatever wrecks sh*t the least. hehe.
Let the opinions / experience flow my fellow f-bodiers.

Bearings can break. Bushings are pretty much bullet proof.

Bushing here too

but, dont the bushings wear out? I mean, all that movement with the input shaft riding on it, wont it wobble out and then no longer effectively keep the input shaft in line, therefore causing increased pressure on the main bearing in the tranny?

Bushings have been used since the dawn of time. They wear, but very little. You will find a lot more trashed input shafts and shaft bearings caused by a bad pilot bearing, than a bushing.

alright. So, for some hard street driving in a daily driver, the bushing is the way to go? Should I use the GM one or the hyped up kevlar one? Where seems to be the cheapest place to find them?

who has the part number for the GM bronze one? Or is the kevlar better?? part number for the kevlar and where to buy?
