i am not sure where else to ask this, as far as which forum. i have an after market, lift off, light weight hood, for the purpose of lighter weight at the track. now i am almost done working the bugs out of the car and close to going to the track BUT my hood wants to lift off in the center around the cowl area at or around 100mph. i used 4 mr.gasket locking hood fasteners to hold it down tighter than normal hood clips. i need a way to support the cowl area itself though. has anyone came up with a simple idea other than adding a bar and fiber glass to strengthen the hood itself ? maybe some 1/4 clips off the fire wall if i had to or something of that nature?
