Heres a run between my Z in my sig, vs my buddies 91 Mustang GT notchback (weighing about 800 lbs lighter than my Z, not to mention I had a passenger on board, and he didn't).

If you notice (it is kind of difficult from the video to see), I have a Heads Up Display (HUD) to show me my speed. I specifically bought it to see how fast I was going after I pegged the factory speedo (which BTW is 150). When I ended up letting off the gas, I looked up and noticed I was going 178! That also was the fastest I had my Z up to while it was supercharged.

Yeah i saw that, but could not quite make out what it was reading.

178 is rediculous...:D:eek:

Ben, Nice! 3rd gear and close on him fast. I'm amazed at out how your car hooks on the street. You could've given him a 4 car lead and still reel him before the end of 4th.

Thanks for the compliments fella's. I am very pleased with the car. It has had countless issues in the past, but I think I finally got things straightened out, and am very happy with it as it is.

Most guys have the "I always need more power" mentalaty. The fact that my car hooks as it does with cold Nitto DR's in 1st gear on the street with 614 RWHP makes me very content with the power levels as they are.

This was back when I was visiting my hometown in Indiana. I'm not sure I'd feel too comfortable doing that stuff in NJ :)

Thanks again for the compliments from everyone. The car runs great, and feels very fast

Ben, NICE KILL!!! Your car/combination has always impressed me. The real question here though is when are you upgrading to the F1-A???

Lol. Hooking up in 1st gear with 614 RWHP makes me very happy. I have a feeling if I had even 50 more RWHP that my car would not have the exceptional traction it does. It feels like everytime I get on the gas (especially in the first few gears) that it is on the very edge of breaking loose.

Spinning all over the place can be fun, and being a dyno king also has its moments. But getting beat by someone with 100 or less RWHP that can hookup will make you very upset.

My Z will remain at its current power level

Ben, have you been back to the track lately??? Curious to know if you've been able to make a solid full pass with the car?

 Thats where things suck! I can hook up like a dream on the street but slide almost out of control at the track. The slicks hook up great off the line, but since I have big baer brakes up front, its almost impossible to find skinnies to go up front which leaves me with my big 18 radials that make the setup un-even, and the car sways (sometimes uncontrollably) once the speed picks up.

Here's a video of a couple runs I did at the track to give you an idea. It feels much worse than the video shows.

My best times so far are 11.2 @128 (slicks), and 11.3 @129 on drag radials. The car has much more potential track wise than I have yet to get (obviously from the MPH). I'll try some more practice, and will keep looking for some skinnies that might fit and see what I can come up with next year.
