Z-RATED94 11-15-2007, 12:15 PM I think Fred is right. I purchased the welded RTs for that reason. The fronts don't stick out, and the backs tuck in nicely. If you have LS1 front brakes though, it moves the wheel out slightly. I don't and do not plan on going with those brakes.
Plus, with these wheels there is no grinding, spacers, using a hammer, etc. I did trim the bump stops to clear the tire though, it rubs slightly when the car is jacked up. But other wheels are worse in this respect. Just be ready to lay out some extra money for these benefits.
reamo04 11-15-2007, 01:38 PM dang, so those are out of the question since the car will see street duty, and bogarts do not like that do they?
reamo04 11-15-2007, 01:44 PM wait, look at the front rims on the car i posted, where the bogarts on the "star" part, slant inwards, the ones i posted stay straight, so i believe they are something else
reamo04 11-15-2007, 01:49 PM well guys, after some looking around, these look a little closer to what i posted

would 1.75" backspace on a 4" rim work, or would those stick out?
Injuneer 11-15-2007, 06:41 PM The Bogarts are the "SS" model and completely "flat" on the center section (spokes). The wheels you linked on Summit are the old Weld Pro-Star XL wheels. They have a curved surface on the spokes.
reamo04 11-15-2007, 06:47 PM alright, thanks injuneer. Since I dont want bogarts since the car will bes treet driven, would those "Summit Star" rims work for the 4" rim with a 1.75" backspacing?
Injuneer 11-15-2007, 11:56 PM I have a 3.5" wheel with 1.75" BS. With the 5/16" spacer, it "sticks out". If you had a 4" wide wheel with a 1.75" BS, and no spacer, your wheel would stick out 0.18" more than mine.
Z-RATED94 11-16-2007, 11:20 AM dang, so those are out of the question since the car will see street duty, and bogarts do not like that do they?
Should you drive them on the street? No. But you know how it goes, do as I say, not as I do! ;) Very carefully though (turns), and this is not my DD. So far 1k and no problems.
JGKadell 11-18-2007, 04:04 PM Those are Bogart's but not the SS. It is the DOS, Drag on Star
