Tires and rims, which ones to get???

Ok, ladies and gents heres the deal.

I would like to get some rims and tires for my car for drag racing. I was thinking 15x10 for the back and 15x4 for the front; I would prefer the rims to be direct bolt ons.

So, any suggestions about what type of rim and tire to get?

Also how much would these bad boys contribute performance wise?

As far as the wheels, check the Bogarts mentioned in a post in the FAQ stickied at the top of the forum topic page. Direct bolt on, no mods, very light weight, high $$$. For a lower cost wheel, consider the Centerline AutoDrags. A buddy of mine had those on his 99 SS with no mods. Lower $$$ than the Bogarts. Someone posted a link to drag wheels made by Billet Specialties. Do a "search" for the post.

The Welds will require spacers in the front and grinding the calipers in the back.

For the front you would want a 26x4.5-15 "front runner" type tire. For the back, you can choose from a drag radial, a DOT slick or a full slick.
